Our CEO, Elijah Khalikov, attended “Pitch and Secure Funding for the Start Phase”, an event organized by Venturelab and hosted at the Unlimitrust campus in Lausanne, one of Switzerland’s most forward-looking innovation venues.
The event brought together ambitious early-stage founders and experienced angel investors from across the Swiss startup ecosystem, creating an environment where structured feedback meets real investor scrutiny. For Herald AI, this was exactly the kind of room we need to be in as we navigate the seed financing stage and prepare to scale across European legal markets.

The session opened with a structured keynote by Frédéric Lauchenauer, a member of Business Angels Switzerland, covering fundraising strategy for companies at the seed phase.
The presentation addressed investor readiness, pitch structure, due diligence expectations, and how to communicate traction at an early stage. During the pitching session, Elijah presented Herald AI’s core proposition: a purpose-built AI co-pilot for cross-border inheritance cases across Europe, designed around an expert-first, human-in-the-loop model that keeps legal professionals in full control at every stage of a case.
The feedback received from the jurors was candid, specific, and constructive, precisely what an early-stage legal AI startup needs to refine both its story and its product direction. We are already incorporating those insights into our pitch and, more importantly, into how we communicate the value Herald delivers to notaries, inheritance lawyers, and their clients navigating the complexity of EU succession law across multiple jurisdictions.

Events like Venturelab, and venues like Unlimitrust, sit at the heart of that ecosystem. Building relationships here, with investors, legal practitioners, and innovation stakeholders, is a core pillar of Herald AI’s go-to-market approach for 2026 and beyond.
5. What Comes Next for Herald AI
Herald AI is currently in the seed financing stage, developing the platform across three core layers: a Case Workflow Engine, an AI Legal Intelligence Layer built on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and an Expert Collaboration Layer, all compliant with GDPR and nFADP data protection standards and secured with AES-256 encryption.
As a legal AI startup targeting the European succession law market, our roadmap for 2026 includes pilot programmes with notarial and legal practices across multiple EU jurisdictions, further product development milestones, and continued engagement with the Swiss and European investor community.
